Autónomo

Autónomo is a self-employed worker in Spain. This refers both to the person and the legal status they register under in order to work independently (freelancer, contractor, entrepreneur). Being autónomo requires enrolling in the special social security regime for self-employed workers, paying monthly contributions and handling your own taxes and invoices.
