Non-Lucrative Visa

The Non-Lucrative Visa is a residence permit for non-EU nationals who wish to live in Spain without working. It requires proof of sufficient financial means and private health insurance. The first application must be done from your home country. The visa is initially valid for 1 year and can be renewed for 2-year periods from within Spain (after the sencond renewal you could apply for a long term residence permit valid for 5 years). This permit does not allow employment in Spain.
